Welcome to Muslim Writers - a UK collective of writers' groups
We believe that there is no dichotomy in being both British and Muslim.
With almost two million Musilms residing in the British Isles (the majority born in the UK) we believe it is vital to support the development of writers of Muslim origin and ensure the voice of the silent majority is heard - and read.
Our aim is to seamlessly weave the narratives of British Muslims into the tapestry of British life and show that Muslims have something positive to offer.
Currently, there are two writers' groups:
- Manchester Muslim Writers
- Lancashire Muslim Writers

We essentially offer four different services:
- Reading Circles
- Technical Workshops
- Author and Agency visits
- 1-to-1 tutoring and feedback
We are in discussions to set up Muslim Writers groups in Yorkshire, the Midlands and London. If you are interested in getting involved and live in those aeas (or others) then drop us a line and we can discuss how we can come together and share our stories.
On this web site we aim to present information about Creative Writing and suggest blogs, books and other types of writing to read that will help illuminate, educate and inspire you to improve your writing and learn from other writers.
If you want to know more about Manchester/Lancashire Muslim Writers or if you wish to become a member then email admin@muslimwriters.org.uk - we look forward to reading something from you.
